Generally, the sensitivity of the sprinkler head is expressed by its response time index (RTI), which is the response time from receiving the fire alarm to the outlet of the sprinkler head.

According to this classification, the first type is fast response sprinkler head, and its response time index (RTI) is less than or equal to 50 (m * s)0.5; The second is the special response sprinkler head, whose response time index (RTI) is greater than 50 (m*s) 0.5and less than 80 (m * s)0.5; The third is the standard response sprinkler head, whose response time index (RTI) is greater than 80 (m * s)0.5 and less than 350 (m * s)0.5.
